Trivia[]

  • The Middleman's first mention of his secret love for Raveena Rao was in "The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown", when he said "Make no mistake, I've loved and been loved". He hinted to her more clearly in "The Vampiric Puppet Lamentation" by saying, "[Lacey]'s not the only woman I love".
  • This "episode" finally reveals the true name of the current Middleman (Clarence Colton).
  • The Middleman's love was originally conceived as an African-American named Tamara Tarlow, but was changed to the Indian Raveena Rao due to character and coloring choices in the comic book process.
  • This "episode" contains the second and third times in the series that the Middleman has cursed; the first was in "The Pilot Episode Sanction", when Spanky escaped into a gorilla preserve.
  • The persnickety desk clerk of the Underworld, appearing first in "The Accidental Occidental Conception", returns in a cameo when the Middleman invokes the power of Chac-Mol.
  • This "episode" reveals another Middle-Code. "Code 7" is used by Middleman allies to send a distress call to the Middleman.

Music[]

  • As this "episode" is presented in comic book format, no music was included. However, at a table read performed by the cast at ComicCon 2009, Javier Grillo-Marxuach played the Middleman theme song.
