A.N.D. Labs
A.N.D. Labratories (Motto: "Rescrambling your DNA") is a genetic engineering lab, where Wendy Watson worked as a temp. While on the job an experiment went wrong and a monster, seemingly composed of a jelly-like organic matter and the A.N.D. scientists, burst out from the lab and attacked Wendy, who without any sort of panic, grabbed a nearby letter opener and stabbed the monster's tentacle. Shortly after this the Middleman arrived and rescued Wendy, then left her to explain a false testimony to the authorities. Upon reporting back to her temp agency, Wendy discovered that her lighter was missing, and the police had attributed the "gas main explosion" at A.N.D. to a fire caused by the lighter.
